Individual Counseling
Roots Counseling is dedicated to utilizing research-proven counseling techniques to help individuals improve their lives, relationships, and well-being. These practices include Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and more. Our counselors are professionally trained and licensed to use best practices to help you learn, heal, grow, strengthen, and continue the pattern in your personal lives and the community.



Couples & Family Therapy
Here at Roots Counseling, we work to assist the family unit in enhancing communication effectively, better setting boundaries and handling conflict, discovering family and individual strengths, instituting enduring traditions, working with problematic behaviors, managing addiction, restructuring and clarifying different family member roles, and more. These practices may include interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), The Gottman Model, Bowenian Family Therapy (BFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), etc. A root principle within family therapy is to uncover unhealthy patterns in the family unit to help each family member change or dispose of the behavior causing the unhealthy pattern.

Group Therapy
At Roots Counseling, we strive to bring together those struggling in our community. We’ve found that therapy in a group setting can be empowering and bring out vulnerable, necessary, and strength-building experiences. With our Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach, individuals within a group setting can learn to better improve emotion regulation, change destructive thinking and behavioral patterns, tolerate difficult emotions, improve relationship skills, increase positive interactions with others, and build the life they so desire. Life Skills Coaching
Our coaches here at Roots Counseling are individuals that can help you learn new skills to gain perspective on your mind and the life you deem worth living. Our coaches offer an additional and concrete approach to learning and applying skills to your daily life and level-up the experiences you have day to day. With compassion and curiosity our coaches help you move from feeling overwhelmed and stuck in life, to feeling courageous and empowered to create the life that you truly want for yourself.

Telehealth Counseling
Roots Counseling knows that traveling to therapy may be difficult for certain individuals and families. To better assist you, our counselors can provide therapy services through online video conferencing or via telephone. These capabilities allow us to improve access to affordable mental health care. We are committed to ensuring you receive the best available care with minimal interruptions. Because insurance bills telehealth differently, please confirm with your provider or ask our front desk how this may affect your insurance. Our goal is to make your counseling process and experience the best and least stressful possible.



Tests, Assessments, & ESA
Our team of professionals can diagnose and assess for different mental health disorders. We offer evaluations that measure levels/severity of substance use, depression, anxiety, etc. We can also provide ESA letter services. Please note, we do not assess for neurodivergent disorders.
